MacInsiders is a student-run information network at McMaster University and is run independently from McMaster University or the McMaster Students Union. We aim to enhance the McMaster student experience by providing an inclusive community that informs, motivates, inspires, and promotes student involvement and leadership through online initiatives and events on campus.
MacInsiders was formed in January 2007. Since then, it has been awarded "MSU Club Of The Year" for 2007-2008, raised over $1,200 for charity, been featured in the Hamilton Spectator and other press sources, as well as listed in the prestigious Academica Top 10 list. Recently, MacInsiders was mentioned in the McMaster Alumni publication, The McMaster Times.
To students, it has become a respected source of information and opinions. The organization consists of thousands of registered members, as well as a volunteer forum moderators and Communications Interns that shares advice, personal experiences, and tips on a variety of topics of interest and importance to the general student body.
While focused primarily towards serving undergraduates, MacInsiders is also open to, and used by, faculty, staff, and residents of Hamilton. The most popular items we provide include articles, videos, and message boards
