Steel City Amazing Race

On July 26, 2014, McMaster Athletes Care, in partnership with the Y108/CHML Children’s Fund is hosting the Steel City Amazing Race. Join the Hamilton community in supporting this inspiring day of discovery, healthy active living, and reigniting the spirit in the youth of our community!

120 youth from Boys & Girls Clubs of Hamilton and Eva Rothwell Resource Centre will join with McMaster student-athletes to race around Hamilton, experiencing important landmarks, businesses, and services in our city.

The Steel City Amazing Race will give youth a change to learn about their city, with a focus on the multiculturalism of Hamilton. As youth race around the city to important Hamilton locations, they will participate in activities that highlight health active living, teamwork, creativity, education, and interpersonal skill development. The event will also serve to facilitate breaking down barriers that youth feel prevent them from exploring post-secondary education options.
